Stuart Staight –
Nothing but praise for our little machine, which we have had for 4 years. We clear out the horses deep litter, which is mainly straw and then compost it, and the resulting manure is generally in big lumps, often quite hard and difficult to break up. It doesn’t seem to matter whether we load by hand or in even bigger clumps with the mini digger, the spreader just copes, really breaks the stuff down and spreads. I did look at other types of spreader machines, but this works very well, and is very simple with its ground driven mechanism.

I had a 27+ for a few years now. It has been exposed to the elements in Shetland which means it is blasted with with wind, rain and salt. It has never missed a beat until recently – I asked for advice got a same day answer from Kevin and I am spreading again.
This little machine is invaluable to me I keep cattle on a croft and whilst I do not have large numbers of cattle the cost of putting out muck was becoming too high to justify. With contractors charging for their time for spreading and the time a digger stands around I was able to recover the cost of my purchase in two years.
We have very poor ground here that is often too soft to take a large tractor and muck spreader – it would normally be late May before this could happen. With this type of spreader I just connect it to the quad bike and off it goes. All you need then is a bit of common sense.
Very convenient, very robust and great value for money.

My wife and I have stables nr Coxhoe in County Durham . We got our Millcreek model 27 about 4 years ago , we find it very easy to use , it fits into one of the spare stables through a 4 foot wide door ” out of site out of mind ” for thieves . Each year its pulled out and the only servicing required is visual check of the levers ,and to paint old engine oil on the drive chains , we use our x trail to pull it with , but a quad would do .
These little spreaders are so strong and robust , and excellent value for money, you really can not go wrong, anyone can use one.

We have a small holding in Guestling East Sussex and after years of having our horse manure collected, our manure truck finally rusted away. What with the expense of collection and our manure pile steadily expanding, I decided to buy the 27 Millcreek model. It was delivered by Kevin who explained how everything worked and how to look after it. All the fitments were already in place, along with the dolly wheel I ordered. I was surprised how easy it was to manoeuvre by hand and I hooked it up to our Kawasaki Mule with the tow ball coupling I ordered. It’s the perfect size for storing in our pole barn, but would easily fit in a garage or loose box. As it is ground driven, it’s quiet, just making a ticking sound; but can it go! Once engaged at a slow speed the spread of the manure is fine and consistent. It’s a joy to use and I actually look forward to it, which may sound sad, but I feel great knowing I’m spreading goodness back into the soil, instead of paying to have someone take it away, also the horses will benefit with all the lush grass it will render. It’s good value, easy to use and incredibly robust. Thank you Kevin for all your helpful advice.

Just bought the 27 & did my first 10 loads. Works really great, simple technique, simple to operate, simple to maintain. Last but not least: Kevin is of great support indeed!

Having just ordered a couple of parts from Kevin for my Millcreek spreader I’ve been told I’ve had it for 12 1/2yrs. I can’t speak highly enough of this machine it’s paid for itself time and time again, easily maintained with old engine oil on the metal runners. It’s used on a weekly/daily basis behind a quad bike.
We are on clay so you can’t get a tractor on our fields until April/may so the spreader is a great asset to have.
I wouldn’t hesitate recommending them and if anyone wants to come see mine in action your more than welcome…….

Just used the 27 first time a couple of days ago. Very impressed indeed. As we have small paddocks (about one acre) so the size was ideal for us. The dung was well spread, and very easy to load (yes we have a mini digger!!!),
Before purchase I had many chats with Kevin seeking advice for our needs, he was always very helpful. He never tried to push a larger model on us, such a change to many modern sales bods. The delivery went without a hitch. We decided to retro fit an endgate, again he was very helpful. Such a delight to deal with.

It is unbelievable how much time this little spreader saves me. A job of spreading composted manure that normally took me half a day and a lot of energy, is now done within half an hour. We pull the spreader with a lawnmower, it does not even have 15 hp but even now, the job is done. The Model 27 is a robust machine, simple and safe.

It might be the baby of the range but this machine is quite impressive, it really does break the muck up and spread it evenly. It is very easy to tow and use.
